We Are The ReGeneration is a movement accelerating the global transition to regenerative agriculture and ecological economies. The initiative is committed to restoring and strengthening ecological, economic, and social systems by applying regenerative principles to food production, land management, and cultural practices. Its mission includes positioning the Netherlands, historically associated with intensive industrial agriculture, as a global leader in regenerative transformation and using that progress to influence change worldwide.
The organization advances three interconnected tipping points: Re-Generation, focused on restoring ecosystems and communities; Re-Growth, centered on building economic models that support rather than deplete natural systems; and Re-Connection, dedicated to deepening humanity’s relationship with the planet. These pillars guide collaboration among farmers, entrepreneurs, scientists, policymakers, indigenous leaders, and cultural influencers working toward regenerative solutions.
By amplifying pioneering initiatives, building cross-sector networks, and sharing knowledge, We Are The ReGeneration aims to accelerate the adoption of regenerative practices. Through storytelling, strategic partnerships, and movement building, it seeks to reshape economic and agricultural systems in ways that prioritize ecological resilience, long term prosperity, and social wellbeing. The platform champions a future where healthy ecosystems, resilient economies, and thriving communities operate in harmony.

MUGA: When She Stops Flowing, So Will We is a short documentary set in the Muga Valley in Catalonia, Spain, exploring an ambitious effort to restore an entire landscape and way of life. The film follows the Pioneers of Our Time Foundation, together with local residents, scientists, and international thinkers, as they work to regenerate a valley threatened by drought, biodiversity loss, and aging rural communities.
Once sustained by the Muga River, the region is facing increasing environmental pressure. The documentary captures a collaborative movement across 100,000 hectares and 68 communities that is reimagining how people and nature can thrive together through regenerative practices, ecological restoration, and innovative land stewardship.
Through intimate storytelling and powerful landscapes, MUGA presents the valley as a living experiment, showing how restoring forests, rivers, wildlife, and local economies can revive not only the land itself but also a deeper connection between humans and the natural world. The film ultimately proposes the Muga Valley as a model for regeneration that could inspire similar efforts around the globe.
We Are The ReGeneration is a movement and storytelling platform that aims to accelerate the transition toward a regenerative society and “ecology economy”—an economic and cultural system that works with nature rather than against it. The initiative is part of Decade of Action, an act-tank working on systemic change through projects and collaborations leading up to 2030.
The platform highlights innovators, farmers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers who are developing real-world solutions for ecological regeneration, biodiversity restoration, and sustainable food systems. By sharing their stories, the initiative seeks to inspire a broader cultural shift from environmental decline toward regeneration and reconnection with nature.
Through storytelling, collaboration, and networks of pioneers, the project aims to build momentum for a new culture in which ecological restoration, regenerative agriculture, and nature-based economies become mainstream. Its mission is to connect people, ideas, and initiatives across society to accelerate change and demonstrate that a thriving ecological future is both possible and desirable.
